Mine River, Ireland
Arkle recently reviewed the Mine River block in Wicklow for lithium potential.
The Mine River block is also proximal to the known lithium bearing Leinster Granite, lying to the west and contiguous with the international Lithium Corp. – Ganfeng Lithium Co. Ltd venture.
Early 2023 Arkle announced that it has discovered lithium bearing pegmatites at their Mine River block with one assay returning 0.09% Li2O from the Bunclody area.
Aughrim, Ireland
The project consists of four prospecting licences centred over the town of Aughrim, County Wicklow, Ireland with a total size of 127.28 km². The ground is contiguous with the International Lithium Corp – Gangfeng Lithium Co. Ltd joint venture to the west, where a large zone of lithium bearing pegmatites has been discovered associated with the
Lithium in Botswana & Zimbabwe
Arkle hold 2 licences covering 837sq km in the Makadikadi Salt Pans.
Preliminary surveys have showed outcropping brines.
A follow up Transient Electromagnetic Survey will be undertaken to identify priority drilling targets.
A follow up drilling programme will follow.
In Zimbabwe we were awarded 3 small hard rock licences containing pegmatite, we have dropped one.
