Lithium – Botswana, Zimbabwe & Ireland

Lithium is a critical mineral to the energy transition and the ever-expanding digital economy. The lithium market is experiencing an exciting structural shift from a supply-driven surplus to a tightening, high-demand scenario projected through 2026 and beyond. Arkle has a large and highly prospective land position with potential for lithium brines in Botswana and Zimbabwe, as well as pegmatite targets in Ireland.

Mine River, Ireland

Arkle recently reviewed the Mine River block in Wicklow for lithium potential.
The Mine River block is also proximal to the known lithium bearing Leinster Granite, lying to the west and contiguous with the international Lithium Corp. – Ganfeng Lithium Co. Ltd venture.
Early 2023 Arkle announced that it has discovered lithium bearing pegmatites at their Mine River block with one assay returning 0.09% Li2O from the Bunclody area.

Aughrim, Ireland

The project consists of four prospecting licences centred over the town of Aughrim, County Wicklow, Ireland with a total size of 127.28 km². The ground is contiguous with the International Lithium Corp – Gangfeng Lithium Co. Lithium in Botswana & Zimbabwe

Arkle hold 2 licences covering 837sq km in the Makadikadi Salt Pans.
Preliminary surveys have showed outcropping brines.
A follow up Transient Electromagnetic Survey will be undertaken to identify priority drilling targets.
A follow up drilling programme will follow.
In Zimbabwe we were awarded 3 small hard rock licences containing pegmatite, we have dropped one.
